I'm so old I remember taking my now wife to Cypress Gardens on Sunday afternoon dates. Admission to the parking lot was 25¢ and we could walk the grounds and see all the lovely gardens free.

I cannot be the only one here who's had this song running in my brain these last few days.

The site of that amusement park is only a few minutes from me. It is, sadly, long gone.

Oh that is sad. I remember visiting the park in NJ with my family. Was it that hurricane that took it out - the one where Governor Cristi and President Obama were pictured walking on the beach surveying damage? Or was Palisades gone before then?

HERE! I remember that song, not running through my head however.

Every time news of the CA wildfire pops up, it runs in mine. It's rather like an earworm that won't go away even when hearing the song because they keep talking about the devistation. That CNN interview of James Wood yesterday had me bawling like a baby.
