I'm so old I Remember when:

I remember when the only Walmart around(30 miles away) got a few coolers to start selling milk and eggs. That was a huge deal at the time. My sister used to work at their food court, when they owned and operated it, way before it was a Subway or Mcd's
I remember the kmart by us only had a small row of refrigerated stuff.

I remember when replacement and/or upgraded car radios were often stolen from the old Walmart stores by sliding them out under the garden shop fence to someone waiting outside. People got caught doing it. I remember when the display case was clean out one night when someone broke in to it. I suspect it was team work. Someone probably asked for help in an area that took the auto dept employee out of a line of sight of the goods and then someone did the break in.

I'm so old I remember when 7/11 came to our small town selling milk for 99¢ a gallon... Today's news is the chain is closing all stores for good now.
I remember we stopped at a 7/11 on a road trip back in 2012 and I was allowed to get a soda. They sold post cards too.

Not related, but our hotel room that night in Arlington, VA was 711, and I remember thinking how scary it was to be on the seventh floor. That seemed so high up.
