I'm so old I Remember when:

I spoke to a young boy maybe 10 years ago? I didn't have a cell phone yet. Never wanted one. He was aghast at the idea. "What do you do when you want to talk to someone?" "I talk to them face to face." The shock and dismay was comical. "You mean you go to their HOUSE?!"

I talk to pretty much everyone that I want to talk to face to face. The only person I regularly call on the phone is too far to visit in a reasonable period of time every week.

Most people also just text nowadays. I like phone calls because I can have the conversation in real time without having to worry about messages coming in randomly. The biggest issue with phone calls is when I can't understand what is being said on the other end of the line.

My son (44) came out here last night to take aerials for farmers and asked if he could bring a load of laundry. (He's a bachelor again.) So he gets here and apologizes that he could have taken it to the laundromat but he didn't have time to stop at the bank first. Huh? He said last time it cost him $26 to do two loads. I remember a couple of decades ago going to one to wash a quilt and I think it was $3 total. I told him to NEVER go to the laundromat again, just bring them out here. Jeez, that's insane!
I remembe when I moved this apartment

No, you guys! The mold you see is just the "blossoming" part! The mold "roots" have permeated the whole product by the time you SEE mold. Throw it away! :sick

I remember when I could get down on the floor to perform some task like fixing a pipe or replace some tile or base board. Now IF, and that's a big if, before I get up I have to map out grab on tos and step ups. Under a truck, shimmy, slide and look for something to aid me back to standing. Recently was going to replace the running boards on the truck, I wimped, DW gave me an out, "CALL THE GUY". With very little protest I did. :old

Wish I had a ‘guy I could call’ who didn’t charge an arm and a leg!
