Precious life so worth all that effort.
She was a baby who fell into a well when she was 18 months old, in 1987. In Midland TX. It was a huge news story, getting her out. Media had 24 hours coverage. She was in the well for 58 hours
Jessica McClure, a toddler who fell into a well in Texas on October 14, 1987. It took almost 60 hours for rescuers to get her out. The story garnered worldwide attention.
She has some permanent physical effects and scars but says she doesn't remember any of the ordeal and didn't find out what had happened to her until she was four years old.
