I'm so old I Remember when:

Hold on, did you willingly go there or was it just a place you passed through?
I went there on purpose while visiting New York. Now the rest of New York was fairly like every other city, but Times Square/Broadway was something else.

From what I've seen Times Square is pretty low on the list of things I'd want to bother with in New York. Even the photos of it are too ugly.

Broadway…well, Times Square…was the most disappointing place I have ever been.

I didn’t know the whole place was full of billboards and crazy people! The last time I’d seen it was 1950 or so (in a picture) and I always just thought it would be the same. Man, was I wrong!!!
My Broadway was in Pawtucket, RI.
I've always wanted to see Times Square, after your description I don't think it would be worth the trip.

Same here, it's called a Tornado Warning Siren.
Tornado sirens are tested in my town at noon for 2 minutes each and every Saturday of the year. It's serious business where I live. If your neighborhood siren doesn't work, you better believe the city will address it before the next weekend.

I'm so old, I remember both May 3rd, 1999 and May 20th, 2013.
