I'm so old I Remember when:

I love my 45 record player. It would play the same 45 record over & over, or play a stack of them without touching it.
When my Hubby, at that time my boyfriend, had to go to Vietnam I played "Unchanged Melody" over and over and over. I drove my Dad crazy, he would yell "Give it a drink", in other words knock it off!
amusingly, one of the very first things I 3d printed was 45RPM spacers for my turntable. :p

My washer dryer was ordered through the Sears Catalog. They were on sale for Christmas. We bought them the day after Thanksgiving 1988 for less than $500 for the pair and they are still chugging away
Appliances were built better then with less bells and whistles to go wrong! 🙂

My HOUSE was ordered through the Sears catalog. Well, the plans for my house came from there. My neighbor's house is a full-on Sears house with parts number still visible on attic beams and anything exposed when they make repairs. She wishes the original owners had shared the plans - now that would be interesting. Imagine making a mistake fitting Tab A into Slot B on THAT!

It's strange replying to my own reply.

Every time I listen to Unchanged Melody I still cry!

I looked to find out if copies of Sears houses are available. Apparently original catalog images and floor plans might be online on different archives and historical sites. I found one site SearsHouses.com
