I'm so old I Remember when:

Getting thrown is no fun. I've done that a few times but didn't end up with any serious injuries. I was always glad I was wearing a helmet.

One time I was grooming my horse and getting ready for a lesson while my riding instructor was working with another horse in the corral. Suddenly the very nice little gelding she was riding turned into a wild bronco, bucking and twisting. She stayed on as long as she could then suddenly she went flying high through the air. Turned out the horse had been stung by a wasp. He really was a good horse and would normally have never behaved that way.

I grabbed my cell phone and ran over to her. She was on her hands and knees by then and was trying to catch her breath. I asked if she needed me to call 911 but she said no. She had landed on her hip and had a horrible large bruise but no broken bones. She was lucky - and young, in her thirties. This stuff gets much more dangerous as we get older. My friend's husband won't let her jump anymore (she's in her mid-fifties) so she sneaks off to a friend's ranch to do it.
I used it for MSN DIALUP
