I'm so old I Remember when:

Thank you, @EmmaDonovan. Very interesting.
fifth-third
This combination (a minor third) is found in nearly every culture. It is the "nah-nah" combination. Go ahead, say nah-nah. Not everyone says it as nah-nah, but the sound is the same.

I remember this tacky scene at the department stores
Well someone like this. There was an online auction last week that had 2 of the shiny silver trees that went for a few hundred each and the colored wheel that was up to $150 with an hour left before bidding closed. Maybe not your style, but certainly someone's.

I still have my Roy Rogers cap guns!

I remember having the six gun and holster to go with those.
I had a gun, too, but must admit, the stone not only came in handy for the caps that the gun missed on the roll, but stacked right or laid out and ran down the line, that stone and a couple rolls of cap powder provided a lot of entertainment long before snap-pops came into my life.

I live in an open carry state. It's funny to see a sign on a Banks door, "No guns allowed inside, Thank-you".
What was really funny (to me anyway) was a couple years ago when banks had signs saying "must wear a mask to enter this bank".

Arizona is an open carry state. I didn't know that when I was a youngster and drove through here for the first time.

I pulled off the 10 freeway and stopped at a convenience store to buy road trip snacks. The guy in line ahead of me had a pistol strapped to his thigh, à la Han Solo.

I'd never seen anyone open carry before. When I got to the counter I leaned over and stage whispered to the clerk, "That guy had a gun!" The clerk looked at me like I'd just grown a second head. 🤣
