I'm so old I Remember when:

.....I remember 8 track tape :old
Do you remember it's predecessor, the 4 track? It was the work Earl Muntz who had been producing televisions in the 50's. Most were produced mid to late 60's. I had one in one of my cars for a little while. Then Bill Lear, of Lear Jet fame developed the 8 track.

I'm not really a fan of any music as all have something to offer. Queen has done some things that I do like. You mention Queen and it seems the only piece they know is Bohemian Rapsody. I feel they do a lot more and better.
You mention Queen and the first title people come up with is Bohemian Rapsody............they did a lot more and better, I agree.

GF bought a boat that has a cassette player, that was tough one.
I have a travel case full of cassette tapes from when I taught aerobics. Not sure why I'm still hanging on to those. 🤷‍♀️

Two speakers providing stereo sound. I have a receiver, which receives the audio from a device, such as a CD player, record player, and the radio, and amplifies the sound so that it can be heard on two speakers, one for each ear, creating stereo sound.
Then there was quadraphonic! Led Zepplin Whole Lotta Love instrumental bouncing at you alternately from 4 different speakers. Blow the hat of your head.

Brother still has that along with 2 shelves of cook books, some of which go back to the 1800s. Here's a couple of pictures I took of receipts (both printed and hand written by the owner) I found interesting from Twentieth Century Cook Book and Practical Housekeeping published in 1905 and gifted in 1908.
