You mention Queen and the first title people come up with is Bohemian Rapsody............they did a lot more and better, I agree.
And THAT was the magic of Queen. They didn't have "A" sound. Their sound, their music, their dynamic, they were all fluid. Like a murmuration of starlings, their sound morphed and flowed - always changing, always moving, sometimes wild and always amazing!
