I'm so old I Remember when:

I once told my daughter that I admired how her generation was never afraid to share their inexperience with the world.
Paul McCartney said the same thing in an interview. He was in a music store and some girls came up to him who were too young to remember the Beatles and started talking to him about stuff that never happened. He tried to correct them and they shook their fingers at him and said, "No no, come on now, we know what really happened, you can't fool us!" He kept saying, "Look, I know what really happened. I was there." But he couldn't convince them they were wrong.

Kids! 🤷‍♀️

In 1979 I was a construction apprentice (working on Strategic Petroleum Reserve docks, ironically) and driving 1.5 hours in each direction, 7/12's. The price of gasoline doubled and we were sure we would soon be riding scooters to work.
(Now granted, it went from .50 to a dollar but it was still double.)
At the time, it was shocking.

Sad but true! 🙂
I just got some really great pictures of my grandkids and their friends with very red cheeks and big smiles proving there's hope yet. Most impressive image is my intrepid 7-year-old grandson on a snowboard. Little man is very into sports - doing moreso than watching.

Sad but true! 🙂
I was playing hide-and-seek with some relatives and friends at my aunt's house. Well, while waiting for the rest to be found, a couple of them busted out their I-Phones and were gluing their eyeballs to their screens with the Tik-Toks and the You-Tubes on them.

Back when your couch came with a new car (late 1970s)...
