Growing up, I wasn't permitted to wear a bikini. I recall purchasing the one-piece OP swimsuit that was super high cut on the sides, and tied all the way down each side with little tiny strings. My mother gasped when she saw it, and my reply: "Hey, it IS a one-piece". (though quite clearly more revealing than 90% of bikinis)

I loved it when my Pawpaw would come into town with his big Ford LTD. I always 'borrowed' it for dates. (Huge bench seats.)
