I'm so old I Remember when:

Cursive isn't taught in NYC, or NJ. If I want to write a note and keep it private, I can just use cursive. The high school kids can't read it.

They can't read a clock with a dial, either.
I explained analog time to a couple of seventh graders, who were so fascinated that they shared. Now I get requests for a "lesson" pretty regularly. Apparently it's cool to be able to do something so old-fashioned!

I learned analog time and was shocked when I heard nobody does that anymore.

Wallpaper was all the rage. I remember growing up with roosters on the kitchen walls, eagles on the dining room walls, and some sort of funky pink birds on the bathroom walls.
My Mom was a bit of a rebel. Our bathroom sported a wonderful, freakishly bold Peter Max floral ... on the ceiling!
