I'm so old I Remember when:

Reminds me of the Demon Drop at Cedar point.
Ah, the Demon Drop. Rode it once but wasn't a fan. My favorite was the Iron Dragon and Gemini. Man, I haven't been to Cedar Point in years. We used to go every summer, we live close enough

Our mall had an indoor carousel, too - a double decker!

I've always loved carousels. Still do. I can never pass one without riding it. I must have spent half my childhood riding the one at Disneyland.

The cost of admission for the carousel at Recreation Park in Binghamton, NY where I grew up was one piece of trash per ride. That park also had a ginormous swimming pool with a big window behind the reception counter looking into the deep end so you could watch the high divers hit the water. Then there was a splash pool for the toddlers and preschoolers and any number of swings, slides, and rides. They even had a huge round bandstand where every column was painted a different color. It was a truly magical park.

So a few years back, a couple buddies and I took a jaunt to Pittsburg. We were downtown and rode the elevator (that only faced out). One of the guys freaked out and kept his back to the wall.

The other cool thing was the cable trolly was running up and down the hillside of the mountain.

When we went to leave... It got even more "hairy". We were on a private drive (if you wanna call it that). We were in my truck, and literally had 6 inches on either side of us.

On one side we had a vehicle double parked with just 6 inches from my truck. The driver's side was even worse... because the road was so narrow.

So by this time. I'm looking straight down over the edge of the cliff... Watching my tires in relation to the dropoff. If my truck had been any wider...I wouldn't be telling this story
Well dear, we're all very glad you made it and are here to tell the story. 🫂

Try working on a bridge 150 ft over the water.
No thanks. Although I wouldn't mind sitting on that bridge once y'all were finished, with my legs dangling over the sides taking in the sights below and around me. I love heights. It puts me in awe of the beauty of God's natural world.
I hope you were tethered well up there.
