I'm so sad. I think it's a roo.

My hens atack each other and act like roosters, so yours may be a girl. I dont see any streamers that would make it a he so it could be a girl. Try checking its legs for spur bumps.

I've hatched 2 silkie x d'uccle chicks, one turned out to be a roo and one a pullet. The most obvious "show" of the cockerel was the golden hackle feathers that started coming in by 8 weeks. These two chickens had the same parents, a black silkie roo and mille fluer d'uccle hen. Because they aren't full silkies, you can't use the streamer test. All my silkie cross chickens have the same little poof on the top of their heads. Don't know if that helps. Also, both of these chickens were very calm and sweet, the cockerel never got mean, so attacking the toy doesn't mean its a roo. Could just mean it isn't very friendly and doesn't like the toy.

The one on the left was the pullet at 10 weeks

This is my cockerel at about 10-12 weeks

I watched your video, I certainly wouldn't call that attacking. She was just pecking it, probably thinking you were offering a treat or something. When a cockerel attacks, it's hackles up, on tip toes, and leaping back and forth.

The dominant-natured bird will usually show assertive behavior at a young age. My hen, Big Sister, would fight like a rooster when challenged. Her hackles would flare straight up (a rooster will flare out), and kick those feet like she had 10 inch spurs. No doubt she's a hen as she was the first to start laying.

Do you have a barbie? The only sure way to tell is to see if it'll play with dolls.

I'm totally kidding. I don't think it's possible to know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but don't worry too much, it isn't looking like one now.
