Today, Christmas Eve, is such a special day for me. Twelve years ago, I had a terribly difficult pregnancy and was hospitalized for much of it. I was admitted to the hospital a few days before Christmas. The doctor told me that I would be spending the holidays (Christmas and New Years) in the hospital. I was so depressed. I love Christmas and the thought of spending it in a hospital room was devastating. My sweet husband brought a small, lighted Christmas tree to my hospital room to cheer me up and my family planned to take all my presents to the hospital so we could have Christmas there.
Incredibly, six weeks early, I went into labor on Christmas Eve around noon time and my daughter was born at 6:33 p.m. She was 5lbs, 10oz! She is the most incredible, wonderful child I could have ever asked for.
Today, my Christmas gift turns 12. She is amazing smart, wonderfully talented, and incredibly caring. I love her with all my heart and I am so grateful that I have been blessed with this incredible young lady.
