I'm sooooooo disappointed

I received 12 laying hens from a friend in Pennsylvania 5 weeks ago. The day they arrived they laid 5 eggs and nothing ever since. They are moulting and the days are shorter. I live in Jacksonville, NC. I give them the best feed I can find and treat them with corn and lettuce. They used to be free range but are now in a spacious coop with plenty of hay and are now calm when I enter their coop. I intend to clip their wings and let them wander in a well-fenced back yard. They look great and are gaining weight by the ton. They are a mixed breed and no rooster. I intend to borrow one in the spring for a few days and let them party hearty and see what happens. Any advice?
