I'm starting to think I'll never get an egg :(

Soleil is 8 1/2 month black australorp and was laying before I bought her, I've had her for almost 3 weeks and still no eggs. Luna is 5 month White Cochin and no eggs. Then I have two 4 month old Bantams and they're not laying either. I'm considering buying more hens, but right now my DH isn't seeing an egg so he feels it isn't worth it (they're not pets to him).

I just needed to rant a bit.

I am with you. My chickens are 28 weeks and NOTHING! My SO calls them my "freeloaders" and keeps saying how tasty they are starting to look out there. He says he thought we were getting chickens, not lawn ornaments.

I went out there today and they have even kicked the plastic eggs out of the nestboxes. Are they trying to tell me something?

Exactly, My DH put a cap of six hens on me. So I really need them to be laying if I'm going to try and talk him into more.
