American accents sound AWESOME. There is only one word for it. Have you ever heard an American say g' mornin'?! It's so cute!

Sorry, but when an Aussie says g' mornin' he just sounds like he's got something stuck up his nose

Noooo! They are NOT good! I was personally re-exposed to their weirdness when I got back from the UK. I could truly compare the accents now.

COme over and visit, we have a spare room

Awwwwwww............... a spare room. I might have to borrow it! I can't believe you don't LOVE the accent. I don't even think the Americans have an accent, but I that's about all I have heard too. I like the Russian accents too.

The Dutch aren't too bad. Don't know where I've heard a Dutch accent before, but they sure are good!

it depends on what part of the US> Us southerners drawl out the vowels which makes the word sound much softer.

and some southerners talk through their nose while drawing out the vowels making the words sound whiny

Oh, Flare!

How could you think Aussie accents are anything but just darling??

I love them!

We Americans don't have accents, or so I always told my grandparents in Aussie land.

Poor mom.. shes stuck quite in the middle.. after being over here in the states for 25 years! Most of what she says sounds suitably American to me... and then the occasional word will pop out with a cute lilt to it. Other people go all gaga over how lovely her Aussie accents sounds, especially over the phone.

I tried to say 'G' Mornin' for you, sitting here... but apparently, I don't say that. Mom raised me to say "Good Morning" in a chipper tone... except that these days its more of a silent frown... or the occasional wave when I feel up to it.

Also completely moms fault... there are oddities from her stuck inside my brain, that pop out. Like the letter 'H'.
Over here, an American school teacher will say something that sounds to me like a short 'Aych' ... but when Mom says it, it's more like a long 'Heych'.
So of course thats the only way I can ever say it... and some people look at me like I'm from mars... whatever, I'm

I think that Aussies ennunciate much better than Americans... so there

When moms friend was visiting us.. much more recently come over... She sounded so much like my mom did when I was little.. it really took me back! I went all gaga hearing her

and the stories! Who tells a better story than an Aussie? Hmm? Hmm?

I picked up all sorts of weird things over in the UK. Nobody here knows what Tippex is, and when I say yoghurt the normal way, everyone looks at ME like I'm from Mars!

You know, Hamish and Andy just left for the States this morning. Those two are practically the definition of Australian accents. Maybe they'll pass through your state or city!

Most pilots say G mornin' in America, far as I heard, anyhow

(And as far as I can tell when the frequencies aren't being overrun by static
