I'm such a jerk :(

my mom had a baby deer(still had spots- looked to be very very young) walk out if front of her car... she tried to stop but she couldnt. My momma cried for days...

Hey now! You are TOTALLY NOT a jerk! It's not like you said, "Hey, a wild turkey, I'm gonna kill it with my car!" This was a total accident, and you handled things just right.

And the turkey hen didn't go to waste either, which is very nice too. Some fellow got a meal for his family.

Last year, a deer ran into the side of my car on the freeway. Messed up my car good, and of course it was dead. So I know how you feel, but these things happen when you mix traffic with nature......

So glad you weren't hurt and again, you handled that very well!
