I have been panicking because I kept finding what I thought was diarrhea from several of my hens. I set up a chair in the run, just so I could site for hours and watch my hens pooh:confused: Then I started to worm them today. The vet told me to wait until the younger chicks were older, so I could do the whole flock. I told her I couldn't wait because they all had diarrhea. She never asked me what it looked like. Then I came across a post here that had a link that sent me here:

It turns out my hens are just having ceacal droppings, and it's totally natural:weee I couldn't understand why their egg production was so good, they all have nice feathers and shiny eyes, they all look perfectly healthy. So know I know why:celebrate

I hope this link will help others from thinking their chickens are goners:lau

I understand how you felt. When I was new to chickens, every time their poo was different, I freaked out. It changes to so many different types but I have never had them be a bad type.
