Hello BYC'rs.

This is Chicken7777 some of you might remember me from a long time ago, and some of you that are new might not of course but I have been on and off the forum for quite some time due to having to relocate from my large home with big back yard in FL to a NJ apartment. Some of you might remember me from the Orlando Poultry law changes, which I really miss back then when trying to change those darn poultry laws in Orlando, FL.

Well to let you guys all know...It has been tough not being able to really get in with you guys and talk about our poultry like in the past and learn soo much from each other, but with no backyard believe me I cant and it is hard!!!!

My family and I have been trying to see how we can purchase a home soon with of course...a back yard. Even though I have had attempted in the past to see if I could purchase a plot of land to do some famliy farming it has not been easy or possible due to little capital and these banks not really lending for agricultural land.

I am hoping that once I can have a backyard or a parcel of land that I can start a new little flock and return to the forum more often like before. My goal is to start raising some common breeds like I did in the past in Orlando but add some more breeds like marans and I have been wanting for a long time to acquire some sebastopol geese.

I hope you guys can give me suggestions as to what options there might be in purchasing land? When I say suggestion I mean, financing or obtaining capital(personal loan, etc) or investing, etc. I do have a 1.25 acre lot in Polk County FL I am trying to see if I just sell to have some capital to purchase a piece of land in NJ or the NY area if possible.

Your suggestions and ideas are and will always be appreciated.

Thank you guys.

Sometimes you can find non build able land such as under power lines and such. The power companies will lease plots for cheap.

Heyyy Chicken7777! Long time no see. Where in NJ are you at? Good land should be around Sussex Country its a really good place to grow some vegetables as well but land could be pretty high price. By the way what price are you selling the land in FL for, might have a family member interested?

Thank you for your suggestions Dennis I will try to keep that as an option even though i would like to own the land i would be improving. Poultry, long time no talking either. How is Florida doing will pm you. Well I'm trying to see if I sells the lot in FL for $8,000 or reasonable offer since I really want to get the cash. But if you know of anyone please let me know.

Has anyone sold land recently what is the best way to sell land fast?
