When i had pigs over wintering I filled their houses from floor to ceiling with hay or straw. They'd burrow into the hay and disappear. They do not seem to be bothered by the cold much. I, too, was really worried mine would get cold, but they seemed unfazed by the temperature. One balmy day of 40 degrees last winter I caught them out in their wallow. They broke the ice so they could go wallowing. Crazy pigs.
