I'm worried my hen might have bumblefoot....

The only 2 foot problem I know of on chickens are bumblefoot and scaly leg mites. This doesn't seem to be mites. Maybe it's a result of frostbite? I noticed this yesterday.

You can see some scales missing where it's yellow, which I didn't notice until I held her for the picture.

This is the toe that concerns me the most.

This is the other foot missing scales, that I think might be from frostbite.


It has been cold and snowy until the past few days, all of the chickens went in the snow and the roosters got mild frostbite on their combs. None of the others have feet problems; I checked carefully.

it doesnt look like bumblefoot... its not frost bite ....it kinda looks like an injury for fighting ummm im fofr sure its not bumble foot

It kind of looks like mild frostbite to me. If the end of the toe gets black and dries up and comes off then you will know for sure. You dont have any rats or mice on your roosts do you? Sometimes they will bite toes too. Terri O
