i'm worried

One of our geese is standing around with her mouth hanging open. They have a pool and none of the others are doing it. She has a hurt foot, so do you think that since it's harder for her to walk, she's just getting worked up?

Maybe she is hot or the foot is causing her stress? I'm not sure what else to suggest as I've not encountered that problem before. Is she holding her wings more loosely or out from her body? That is what my geese do when they are hot.

Hope her foot gets better soon -- if she can swim, that should help it. We had an older gosling last year that had therapy swims and he improved amazingly. (we would pick him up and put him in the pond, and then take him out again after 10 / 15 minutes or so)

She stopped shortly after i posted this. We have a deeper pondlike thing now, so she gets swim alot now.
