I caught her impacted later than I would like because I was dealing with another issue and wasn’t paying enough attention.

I’ve dealt with impacted crop before. I got it to clear with crop massage and coconut oil. Oddly she doesn’t seem to be getting much better. Still acting lethargic. She walks around but is just still slow and not exactly hanging out with the other chickens. Her comb is pale. All of this could be expected because she’s still pretty dramatically underweight.

My concern is her poops have a lot of unprocessed grain in them. They’re a greenish color with whole pieces of chicken feed in it. Lots of urates and overall much smaller than most poops I see from my other hens. Hers are about the size of a quarter. Consistency is normal but yeah greenish with whole feed unprocessed.

Does this mean there’s also an impaction in her gizzard?

Just seeing if anyone has experience with this as I’ve never seen this after fixing an impacted crop.

Could be an impaction in the gizzard or digestive system somewhere. If you have follow the treatment options outlined in the article below and there's no improvement, you can try a flush to see if that makes a difference.

Keep in mind that often crop problems are a symptom of an underlying condition like Reproductive disorders, worms, infection, Coccidiosis, etc. If she's not laid eggs and should be, then consider that she may need some extra calcium for a few days to see if that helps too.

Thank you for responding. I think I’m going to add some probiotics for now and hope it helps. They have oyster shell. I’ll consider giving her a calcium tablet
