I have a hen that I think may have impacted crop; however, there may be something else causing her digestive system to shut down. Saturday she was lethargic and did not show interest in eating, just laid in front of waterer and drank a lot of water. She even slept in a nest box about an hour, came out cackling. She did roost Saturday night as well. So I assumed she was having an off day (she has those, see this prior thread about the same hen: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/lash-egg-or-something-else-help.1667811/)

Yesterday, she laid around as well, so I checked her in the morning and her crop was VERY full and kind of hard. I thought maybe impacted crop, so i isolated her and with held food. She is still drinking but otherwise just sleeping. Very watery, yellowish droppings. This morning really no change. I have been following guidance for impacted crop here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...ne-youre-dealing-with.73607/?page=11#comments

I am concerned something else is causing digestive failure. Any guidance/advice is appreciated. Nearest avian vet is a couple hours away and today is a holiday. Thankful in advance!!

Could you post a picture of the yellow droppings? Are the urates white or yellow? Having salpingitis and lash eggs can cause crops to slow down and cause impaction or sour crop due to pressure inside the abdomen and intestines.

I will try to get a picture. Droppings are not solid at all, she is in a crate in my garage with pine bedding. Very watery, yellowish, but there is white urates in them too. Frankly I am not sure she is drinking much anymore. I was thinking if what she had a few mos ago was lash egg then there is still infection causing digestive issues too. Maybe this is related to that infection? Her crop almost feels doughy, like a water balloon now. No sour odor coming from her mouth. Im not sure if I should keep trying to clear her crop or if she is just shutting down. 😭

She just had a poo. First pic is what it looks like in the crate, i dabbed with a white papertowel so you can see the funky color. The “chunks” are just the pine bedding.
Editing to add one more photo. She went on a towel I have her on while I massage her crop.
