Ok guys this is my first time having to deal with it. As the title says I have a little D’anver Bantam Pullet (20 weeks old) that has/had and impacted crop. I noticed Saturday evening she was acting off. I woke up early yesterday morning and checked her crop and it was really hard. I brought her in gave her some coconut oil and massaged her crop and it loaded up. Shortly after she used the bathroom once. A few hours later gave her more oil and massages the crop some more. She used the bathroom a little bit more. This time her crop is still full but it’s squishy and not hard. Before bed last night I have her se more oil. This time when I tried to massage the crop water came up so I immediately stopped. I don’t think she aspirated as she didn’t cough or anything.

Fast forward to this morning. I got up and checked on her and she had used the bathroom some overnight. Her crop seemed smaller this morning but was still full and squishy. I left for work and just went and checked on her. More poop in the kennel. Was more than what was over night. After last night I was scared to massage her crop for fear of fluids coming back up. However when I picked her up fluids came up so I put her back down.

I’m at a loss of what to do. I do not want her to aspirate. There are no smells coming from her beak so I feel like it’s not turned into sour crop. Any advice is appreciated. I plan to do more coconut oil when I get home from work. I bought still softener too. Would you do both?

She has pooped a good deal so I feel like things are moving.

By the time I came off from work she pooped quite a bit and a couple more times as I was getting the Miconazole cream ready. Her last couple poops were really liquidy with a horrible stench. After a few mins struggling with her I was able to get the meds in her. I think tomorrow I’m going to try to mix it with crumble to see if she accepts it better. I cooked up an egg for her and she ate it all. It was a little egg.

Overall she seems happier this afternoon. I brought her out to the rest of the flock after her egg and she scratched around and acted happy. I’ll bring her back in this evening when I check on everyone so I can monitor her poops. I’ll bring her back out first thing in the morning.

Im really hoping we are making progress.
