Impacted egg?

Get some Permethrin 10 liquid concentrate or permethrin poultry dust at your feed store. Treat her today and at 7 days intervals until the mites are gone. You probably need to also treat the other chickens, empty your coop beeding far away, and spray the coop before adding clean pine shavings. Hay or straw can bring in or harbor mites. Here are 2 good links to read about lice and mites:

Maybe her dirty bottom was bothering her......hence the penguin walk. Hope everything works out okay for your sweet hen :hugs:fl
After her warm bath she seems to be doing much better. her poo this morning is normal and she is standing well. Could it have been her nasty dirty bottom? I have not done an internal inspection today to look for an egg- as her symptoms of yesterday are gone. She eating and drinking well.

I would definitely treat her for the mites as recommended by Eggcessive.

It's good that she is eating/drinking well. Having a dirty bottom is not likely the cause of her behavior. A mite infestation can weaken a bird so getting those taken care of is important.

Look over your other birds for signs of lice/mites as well, treat them too and clean out/treat your housing.

Make sure which she has—mites or lice. If it is lice, she may have white clumps at the base of feathers around her vent, with live lice moving quickly when feathers are parted. With mites, their may be dark specks and mites moving slowly. Some mites only come on at night in the dark. Permethrin 10 will treat either mites or lice. Mites can cause anemia and eventually death.
