She’s looking a little bulky up front. It seems to come and go but something noticeable for a couple days now. Concerning? I also have a pic of my barred rock for comparison.

Looks pendulous, but you still need to confirm by checking the crop in the morning before she has food and water.
Posted another thread but thought I’d ask you specifically too. Does she look okay today? Take any precautions? Didn’t feel anything either.

I didn’t. I was trying to get other peoples opinions too, hence a new post. Plus, I just responded here to you since you were the only one that said anything yesterday.

Yes, I think so. It looks empty (pic) and felt empty.

For your own convenience, as well as others participating on your thread, it's best to stick with one thread. That way all the information is in one place, and if one day your thread makes it to a Google search, the information will be complete. Yes, BYC threads find themselves at the top of Google searches regularly.

Your hen sounds normal and healthy, if a bit of a piggy eater. Some chickens are "foodies" as are some humans, delighting in gorging themselves as if eating were a recreational competition. But do occasionally check her crop in the morning to be sure she's emptying it overnight. She could one day develop a crop problem with such a flare for eating.

Ah gotcha, that makes sense! I didn’t even think about that, I was just trying to get more eyes on it.

Hahah I feel like my 21 chickens have to rush for the treats or they don’t get any so maybe she’s a chunk trying to get (more than) her share. I’ll definitely keep an eye on my piggy.

I also have a few piggies. Their gluttonous ways are going to catch up with them one day in too much fat in the posterior where it can interfere with egg laying. But as you've noticed, they are so good at outmaneuvering the others that there isn't a lot we can do about it.
