One of my girls had an impacted crop a couple months ago. My dh and i thought the only solution was to open her crop and remove the blockage. We tried numerous other things including making her vomit. After the surgery the crop did go down but didn't stay that way for more than a couple
400
days. She is now swollen again and as big as a balloon. She is also vomiting on her own. What else can i do to cure this for good????? This is a picture of all the dirt and hay we removed last time.

I had a young pullet once with sour crop and tried to get her to vomit, which did get some out. But the lady at the feedstore said to try pineapple juice. It works. Which sort of makes sense because it is often sold in health food stores as Bromelain tablets which helps you to digest your food. I can't remember if I got her the juice or just feed her pineapple pieces. Her crop was done in a few days.
