Impacted/sour crop in week old chick (?)

I'm so sorry.

She is sooo tiny. If she was older, the last ditch effort would be crop surgery to see if it can be removed, but I don't know how you could do that on a tiny chick.
Do you have a vet that would be willing to try just for the experience? I have never done it, but quite a few perform their own. Crop surgery is done without anesthesia and from what I have read/seen here on BYC fairly straight forward.

I called the vet yesterday and they basically told me no. Not to mention it would cost almost 1k dollars. I don't think I'd be able to even attempt surgery on her as small as.she is. I'm dreading going in there this morning.

This is so heartbreaking. I wish there was more that could be done.
