Personally, I wouldn’t take the chance. If there is a season where the wild mallards stop coming for some reason they will all turn to your girl. If they do that, it can seriously injure or kill your hen. In my case, I think my hen was egg bound and before I knew my drake took advantage of her being limp and over-mated her, making the situation worse and she passed away.
You can definitely separate her, but I would make it where she can see the others so she’s not lonelycan i just separate her?
