Hi all,
When I was picking chickens, I chose a couple silkies because they sounded like really nice animals to have and they were small not expecting much in the egg production department. But my 2 girls are amazing layers . Pigwigen (from Harry Potter fame) my little splash has layed a medium to small size egg every day or everyother day since early September(~5 months old). Luna (from Harry Potter fame also) my little partridge silkie was just as consistant until she went broodie ~ 1 1/2 months ago, not broody for 2 weeks and today layed an egg
. These girls are not under lights and my welsummers have stopped laying.
Just had to brag about my fluffer bottoms
