I have 2 chicks, 3 and 4 days old that have imprinted on me. I'm expecting the only solution is time but was wondering if there is anything I can do to help them feel safer when I'm not there?

They cheep constantly in their brooder and are only happy when our with me or someone else in the family. The only time they nap during the day is on someone.

Photo of them on their first outing.

Generally, even if a chick imprints on you, it won't cheep non stop when not in the room. Are you sure all the basics are covered. Heat plate, or lamp, at the proper temp, food, water, no drafts, no pasty butt? It's possible since there's only two of them they are a bit lonely, but it shouldn't cause them to cheep all the time. I've only had single chicks cheep non stop, when they were isolated.

They have a heat plate and are in a warm kitchen (25c). Food and water. Pooping well.
They have been a bit more settled today.
Unfortunately we had a poor hatch and only got 2.

Thanks for replying
