In Arkansas Adopting African Greys - Timneh Or Congo -

I am trying to find a good home for my Timneh African. She (although i'm not sure) was rescued from a lady who kept her locked up in a back bedroom and never let her out. I have found myself spending less and less time with her, and I cant keep her happy. She not only needs a companion but an owner who wants to play. I am looking to adopt her out, but is it to much to ask for some an adoption fee?

No-- you should ask for an adoption fee. Even if you don't want the money, this will keep people from taking her just because she is 'free'. It will also keep people from taking her that just want a 'cheap' bird. Most people that want a 'cheap' parrot aren't willing to spend money at a vet or buy expensive toys or even good food sometimes. Asking for a fee will help screen some of these people out, for you. Then, once you find the right person, you could always waive the fee.
