A picture would be helpful, but normally baby chicks can have some left over cord or yolk when they hatch. This drys up and falls off. If you do give a picture, I can look to see if it is possibly something else.

Place the ones with the umbilicus still attached on clean towels and don't keep it wet it will dry and fall off but it's very important to keep them clean to prevent infection. Precious ducklings

How do I keep it on just the towel ? Should I separate it from the others into it's on tote with heat sore? As of right now it try's to stay with them all lol. Thank you they are very cute and I'm pleased with how they made it threw the night

The second one looks fine. For the other one, just try and keep it clean for now. I have dealt more with hatching chickens than ducks. Maybe ask the neighbor you got them from if she knows what to do.

Try using paper towels instead of shavings for a bedding. Should keep things off.

Shes new to having ducks and chickens so this was all new to her and we just had super high winds and snow the past 2 days so she asked me to take them in since I raised my 4 muscovy but that was 3 yrs ago I hatched them and never had any look like these

I would switch to paper towels as bedding. Let the lump dry up and fall off. Just make sure they are getting enough food and water.

Paper towels can be slippery and cause splay leg. Best to use towels first week.
