In need of some more tips

I agree about the wrap her up , like a baby wings tightly swaddled , but i would dunk her in rear end warm water,

Chicken skin is really thin so unless you have blunt scissors or she is really still it could go badly,

Soak her and work it off , dry her and done

Will wrapping her up, stress her out?

She will struggle until she realizes she can not escape and that you are not hurting her.
I would have a basin of warm water and try to clean the feathers that way. Dry the area afterwords with a towel and you could even use a blowdryer.
Someone to help hold her or do the washing would be helpfull.

This is completely false , she will struggle then calm right down , I wrap many animals for examinations even cows when put in a “ squeeze gate” calm right down .... it’s basic animal husbandry.

I handle my hens regularly but when an exam is required I snuggle them up tight . Get a wing to the face once and you’ll know why:)

Don’t cut off any feathers unnecessarily, they have them for warmth and protection

Well I guess everyone’s chickens are different. Mine I can pick up easily. A towel freaks them out. Trim the fluff butt covered in poop does Not add to warmth nor does trimming the ends off give them a chill or take their body heat.
I guess it’s how much you handle your birds. Perhaps you were thinking something different...Did you think I meant cut the feathers down to the skin? No, just enough to keep poop from sticking.

I trim butt feathers with a pair of nose hair scissors,
same ones I use to trim the hair around my dogs eyes,
they are very sharp and have big rounded ends.
Cut the feathers to about 1/2" from the skin.

Washed this problem by soaking, once, never again, disGUSting.
Take care of it before it gets so bad you have to soak it off.
