I just got 2 White Jersey Giant chickens and they have something wrong with their feet. There are sores all over the toes and in the "palm" of their claws. I dont know what it is or how to cure it. I dont know if they have just been standing/ living it wet conditions and their feet have gotten sores from that or if its bumblefoot?? If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. I refuse to integrate them till I know for sure what it is, if I can cure it, and if its contagious.

It looks like pododermatitis, which is another word for widespread bumblefoot. I would start soaking the legs in warm epsom salts every day, until they start to heal. Iodine spray to the wounds may help for a couple of days to help dry out the wounds. Keep them on dry bedding such as pine shavings, since wet soiled conditions causes this. A poultry vitamin/mineral containing biotin may also help.

Thank you so much I started to soak their feet in the sink but then took them.out as i figured that was probably the cause (them being wet) to begin with. But thank you I will try that and I know that bumblefoot is contagious so I will be keeping them indoors away from the flock.

It is wise to wait for a proper quarantine period of at least 30-45 days in case the new chickens could be carriers of any diseases, especially respiratory ones.
