In the home stretch day 18

It's a model 20. No wafer in mine it's an electronic thermostat.

I was told it will hold 80 eggs but I think that's a bit optimistic. It will EASILY hold 30-40. I'm guessing around 60 max.YourLinkGoesHere

Just got off the phone with sunny creek, he's sending me new waffers.I also found out my hatcher is for 'BIG' eggs

i was curious why the sides are so high, 5" high. he said I could change it to electronic, I just might or get a bigger one

How would you change to electronic ? Do people have better hatch rates with electronically controlled bators ?

you just change the parts, The main difference is electronically controlled need less adjustment, and dosen't blow its cork as often

There you go, I've got 10 hatched already. I'm babysitting my hatcher the temp keeps going up a down. I think the upper wafer is out, it the fine tuning temp. control.

Mine has done that as they hatch. Seems like the eggs hatching causes the temps to change some how. If there not huge temp swings it should be ok.
Also good to keep a thermometor in the room as when the room temps change it seems like the bator will change as well.

Now IM getting impatient !!!!!! IM sure i will have to wait untill about 10 pm tomorrow and stay up all night like the last 2 hatches ! Always pips at night and I can't go to sleep !

Just checked with the DW who is home bator sitting and she says we have 6 hatched and several pipped. ( Still worried, hatching a day early? Which is fine by me as long as they hatch! )
