Boring or non creative professions that people select just because they think they can earn money also don't always = a pay check.

It's actually easier to make money doing things you are passionate about than doing things you don't care about.
Making a living is one thing, Paying off college loans an making enough more to make the years of college worth it is another. Trade schools almost always pay for them selves in a year. Very few people with college degrees are getting jobs now that offset the cost of college. I would bet most art majors are not paying back that cost painting..... My opinion, taking art in college is throwing away money.

You'd be amazed how many people I've met who make very decent livings as artists. Of course, not all of them went to college, but some have graduate degrees. Each one found their own route.
 
Truly amazing, and yet sadly sobering. Just think of all the time that went into building these and all the history behind some of them. Sigh. And yet, life moves on.

That's exactly what I was thinking!

Let's fix that!
