this bit of cuteness is the desert rain frog's defense mechanism. I think the mechanism works by making the predator fall over laughing.

I've wondered where my mother and her mother got that expression - sometimes my grandmother elaborated with "oh my stars and garters!".

Yes, a sharpie. a permanent marker.

The neighbor boys are having fun with 'Super-Biskit! Dog of dough."
They think she's "Cute."

Rubbing alcohol gets sharpie off of things, don't know about fur.
