That is so cool! You have always been good at fixing things..making things..you are a Macgyver! I can't remember if you ever told, or if I even asked, hope it's ok to ask, why you only have use of that one arm/hand. What happened to the other?
I tried to push out my little finger on the left hand, easy, then I tried to pull in with that ring finer...hard! You have those fingers doing what ya want! Again, that is so cool. Smart thinking.

You are having a blast with this racing thing. Doing well too!

I got Encephalitis (a brain infection) at 9 days old which took away motor control of my right side. Pretty much the same thing that happens to someone when they have a stroke. I can use both my right arm an leg to do tasks that don't require any dexterity like walking or holding a big box but cant do stuff that requires any precision or fast reaction.

On the other side of things, my IQ tests at about 140 even though I cant spell for anything an I am the worlds worst at math which brings it way down. I took the ASVAB once which breaks down IQ to skill sets. Years later a recruiter after finding out I was ineligible told me that outside of the math a English sections, I had only missed one question on the whole test an on that question I was right but there was a "better" right choice. It was drill press v/s me choosing drill. He said he had never seen scores like mine an had drove across the state to offer me any job in the military I wanted.

The question though has always been, is my IQ caused by the Encephalitis or caused by being forced from day 1 to think everything I do threw more so than other children needed to...

that cat is a phoney, I doubt it could survive being that huge plus being closer to the camera makes things look BIG. Every look at photos where someone is holding a baby chick? Usually the hand looks huge. If that can happen to a regular person snapping pics - not a deliberate attempt to fake appearances. it could certainly happen with someone skillful enough to enhance the effect. Or whatever I am trying to say - just confused here.

Oh wow rebel! You are blessed to be alive and to be doing as well as you are! I think you one smart cookie. You've had some pretty great answers to some questions given here, I know I've been impressed.

Now, the reason why I say, you are blessed to be alive. I have a sister, that has lost three children to Encephalitis. :( The first one, a little 19 month old girl. She went pretty fast. Mom found her in the crib non responsive. They hooked her up to tubes and all. Mom and dad had to make the decision to take her off..she was brain dead. This was in the month of Feb.
The second child was a 5 yr. old boy. He was also found in bed .. a bit responsive. Sent to a children's hospital. Stayed a long time. Came home, did ok for a few months. Mom finds him in bed another morning, acting the same way she found him the first time. She had kept calling this dr. and he kept telling her, no, they can't get it twice. Finally when she called the third time in the middle of the night, and told him of some symptoms, he says, get him to the hospital! This was in Feb. again. He didn't make it.
The third child was another girl 7 yrs. old....same yr. she lost her 5 yr. old boy. This was just before Christmas. She found her in her bed with the same symptoms as the other two had had. She took her to the hospital right away. She passed quickly.
I can't believe my sister is functioning as well as she is. It's been yrs. The remaining children she has are doing great. Three boys. One of the grandchildren was named after the first daughter that passed. Hollie. She is enjoying all of her grandchildren soo much!

So, It was Hollie first. Yrs. later, same month, Nicholas. Same yr. as Nicholas .. months later..Heather.

You are truly blessed to be doing as well as you are. And, that is an interesting though about whether your IQ has something to do with having had the Encephalitis. Will never know. Our bodies do interesting things at times to compensate.

Yea, I cant complain. They didn't expect me to live an here I am almost 40 an have outlived my mom, lil sister an several of my friends I grew up with....

Unfortunately as a part of EMS I have had to see babies die that young more than once.... SIDs once, a drowning once an a house fire once... A second SIDs happened the day of the drowning right by my house but I slept threw that call never hearing the page... Only hearing about it at the scene of the drowning a few hours later. Next door neighbors both loosing a kid the same day.

Oh, that is really quite the coincidence! A Very sad one. :/

Rebelcowboysnb you are a lesson in your perseverance, your ingenuity and how you became a visionary. Be it happenstance or circumstance, you are a miracle, as well as a blessing to others. Keep up your good work and thank you for sharing of yourself. You know not the full extent of the lives you've touched with your good works. :thumbsup
