Okay so they don't all look alike, there are mini coopers and smartcars (I think they call them - tiny things). The only thing I know about cars is I love RED ones. But back in my day cars had tail fins, and some had port hole looking things

Lovely flowers. Is the first a peony? I used to have quite a large flock of very small cactus -indoor plants and some Euphorbia Obesa (living baseball) that would get tiny flowers now and then.

Outside I grew truly winter hardy cactus (Opuntia species_, on the south side of our house protected by roof overhang. They did too well, they were totally invasive. After many years I had to tear them out, I found a small bird, impaled on their spines - so sad.

My mom told me that flower is a rose of Sharon I never questioned it since it smells just like roses. The cactus is over twenty years old we bought it at a yard sale always called it the obscene cactus since its pre blooms kind of look like peckers. Thankfully no casualties on it yet except for me when its repotting time.

We have Rose of Sharon - they are invasive here. They drop so many seed pods and spread like crazy. They do make a fence in a hurry though. None of mine have a scent - Seems like everyone out here has some. They do survive extremely cold, icy, snowy winters, draught and too much rain.
