in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

It's been 75 degrees all week. That's 15 degrees above normal. . . I don't know if I should love it or be terrified of global warming.?!?!

We are in Spanish Fork, got a bit of rain today, supposed to snow tonight, but..who knows for sure. We are also worried. :/

We're supposed to get rain Monday and as usual we could use it! These crazy temperatures have all the peach, plum, and apricot trees in bloom 2 months early. Here's to hoping we don't freeze again and kill all possibilities of home grown fruit. . . Glad to know I'm not the only one concerned.

I just had another waterline blow inside an interior wall an flood part of the house. I had to get up an go crawl around in the snow trying to turn the main off. Then call an wake up a neighbor to drive down in the snow an help me get the main turned off. Then I had to pull the wall apart to see the mess an let everything air out an dry out.

I have had a bad day an it wont end......

So sorry to hear that. Is mold an issue there? We get that black mold here. Terrible stuff. Also impossible to get rid of it. I wish you luck, that no other pipes freeze. It's been a struggle for so many this winter.

Pipes freezing and breaking in GA! What?

We were lucky. Despite 6 degree temps (South Carolina) we had only one pipe freeze. The pipe leading into the tankless heater froze so we didn't have hot water. Hubby thawed it and so far it hasn't burst. He made the decision to turn the heat up both upstairs and downstairs to hopefully prevent a pipe from bursting inside an interior wall.

And yet the BassMaster tournament is going on this weekend. The boats were frozen to the trailers. Not to mention the ice forming on the ramps and vehicles sliding in the lake. What a mess! Boats are sinking in the water. Contestants are slamming fish in the water in the most unsportsman-like manner. But you didn't hear that from me.
