Yep thats the Boyd that use to be here. I dont know if he still raises chickens or not.


I think this makes his 4th book he has wrote under his own name. He writes romance under a female pen name too an has made Amazons top 10 list under that name. I think he also has other pen names.

Is he bringing his book out as a real book (you know what I mean) or just an ebook. I prefer something more tactile. There is nothing nicer than the smell and feel of books. I was always taught to wash my hands before reading and respect books. The thrill when I was young of finding an Enid Blyton that I didn't have was beyond measure. Going through a book list and downloading just doesn't do it for me

Copper is not cheep. Plastic (PVC) is.

Copper has to be soldered together with silver. Plastic is melted together.

Copper water hammers, plastic does not.

Copper freezes an busts easier than plastic.

Even our water mains are plastic. I have not seen copper pipe used anywhere in probably 30 years.

The main thing is that plastic is just easier. Putting copper pipe in a house takes a lot of skill an training. A monkey can be tough to put in plastic pipe. A 3 year old can watch it done once an be able to do it.

REBEL there are two different types of pipes when using for water lines that you normally find in housing one is COPPER and the second is CPVC....which is more yellow and stronger then pvc...pvc will break super easy with freezing water...when you redo them all you have to do is put in new cpvc lines...add some heat tape to the areas where it could freeze and place the black foam around it...and it wont freeze...we had minus 37 here and the lines were fine...hope this helps...there is new water lines that are plastic red/blue you can find in stores but i believe those are expensive as well....hope you get it all figured out...

edited to add...plastic shouldnt be melted together...they are put together using the purple priming glue and then the orange cement glue
