Went and saw Travis Tritt at the 1894 Grand Opera House in Galveston, the house was sold out and he was Excellent. Been a long time since I saw a show that good, it was nice to hear real country last night, nice change. rg's

Rebel, In the 60's and 70's my friend used to show and breed Shelties - I regarded them as cold fish, very reserved and wary of strangers, and the nervous barking drove me nuts. My friend didn't like my Cockers because they were "up in your face" friendly and only barked till you acknowledged their presence., I'm not saying either is right or wrong - that's what the standard wanted, I guess (never read sheltie SOP)

Even the pet type Shelties, if you watch agility trials on tv - bark and bark and bark and spin and bark till I have to mute the show. I could not tolerate a dog like that. They are so darn hyper.
My whole life, the only dog that ever bit me and drew blood was a Sheltie.

I spent a good five minutes trying to hunt down an awful noise. I could not figure out what contraption in our house was making such a racket. It wasn't the dishwasher, or the washing machine, or the ceiling fans... finally I found the direction of the noise and followed it to the puppy.
