He made it through Boot Camp! His DIV took the Captains Cup! Pretty happy for him.

We now have 4 in the family that is in Military.

A Son In Law that is also Navy.

His son, another grandson, is in the Army.

And I have a Nephew that is in the Marines. Not saying the others aren't tough, but my goodness, the things he's already been through..in Afghanistan. He's out of there now, but he went through a lot, including a couple of IED's. One hitting directly on the truck in front of him. Serious injuries in there. And one that hit right before they got all the way over it. Didn't hurt anyone in their truck. Thank Heavens.

Have been enjoying my Hummingbird feeder. So many come. :) Now they depend on this thing, I just make it myself..went with blue food coloring this time. :)

Nice pictures @Cynthia12 ! I have the same hummer feeder hanging right in front of our screened porch where we can watch them. Fun little birds, but wow, can they ever be mean to each other!

So you've seen that too Debby! First time I saw that in NC I almost peed myself laughing.....2 males apparently decided it wasn't big enough for the 2 of them....went at each other little taloned feet first.....I have a picture, buried upstairs, from the stone age when you got pictures printed from film....LMAO!

I almost said something about that. They do fight over it at times. You can tell who is boss. The ones that take off must be young, they don't want to fight. I have read an article about just how onery they are! And it's no wonder with all of the nectar they need, it's insane. Anyway, still cute, love them. :)

My sister in NM has been feeding them for years and witnessed many fights. This summer she says so many people are feeding them - her hummers have deserted hers.

Would an artificial sweetener would be healthier for them?

Just kidding but, wonder if they would notice the difference.
