in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

I caught a raccoon in a trap I purchased from a local store. I was stunned at the damage he did to the cage during the night. He didn't manage to escape but the cage was no longer functional. When dealing with these critters get STRONG wire. Hardware cloth is the best.

I know. I lost my first little flock because one area underneath the soffit of the run was just chicken wire, the raccoon hung upside down and ripped it open. Now mine is all either double layer hardware cloth or chain link and hardware cloth. I gave my neighbor a dukes dog-proof trap last fall, but he didn't use it.

Hey guys..I did a BYC member interview if you want to check it out. Had fun looking up old photos too.

after watching that video all I could think of was now everyone knows how to get to your important stuff. You have to have a good memory too, if I hid stuff, I'd forget how to get to it, and where in the unit I hid it.

I hope FBI is watching this video, so they don't miss the important stuff when searching a felon's home/apartment. I also thought if the dwelling was on fire, all that ammo would blow the neighbors to bits. The price is also certain to be beyond reach for most folks

Now that you mention it..maybe a nice metal safe would be better. A fire, would/could cause ammo to go off when still in a box put away somewhere. Eeek.
