in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

Never! 😆 🤣 😂

A neighbor's feeding dog food, another feeds their cats outside...I saw the fox & cats munching cat food side by side, together like best buds! I've seen the fox & a few cats playing, stalking, hiding, ducking then chasing eachother round & round my tall shrubs & rolling around in the grass. This Dude is a very congenial fox, has been for years.
I read a National Geographic article years ago about a group of isolated scientists in a very snowy area who did a study on how trainable foxes were. They were so surprised that they boldly said foxes could replace cats and dogs as companion pets!

I read an article, several people in England actually have pet foxes.

There are some videos, too.

This flower surprised me. I never knew I could keep one alive. A daughter brought it over for Mother's Day. It had some petals on it, but more came within a few months. Love it. It's now dropping the old ones but here is a photo of it fully bloomed. View attachment 3306656
Phaelenopsis, one of the easiest to rebloom.

Um...

I like you Brooks, you seem like a reasonable chap. But it'll be a cold day in Halloweentown before I ever consider moving to Florida. Your weather is a bit... too much. And it smells like icy hot and depends from all the retirement villages.
And they all drive white cars in the passing lane.

We looked in 5 states, drove thousands of miles to find ours!
I need mountains in proximity ,and some trees. That cuts down my options a bit, and sadly, while I'd jump on it in a second if I could affort it, Hawaii is out (because I'm po'). We're looking MT/ID/MN/CO/WY/Dakotas (maybe). To me, east of the Mississippi is not an option, way too much general light pollution and since I spend a lot of time with a camera and a telescope pointed at the night sly, light pollution bad.

😆 A Friend just texted me this one...good one for us right?
